My Favorite Runway Soundtracks
Hi. Some 5 favorites of my playlist and why I like them SO much.
1. You Won't Be The Same (Dub) - Toy
2. Sebastien Bouchet - Captain Drag
3. Walking On Thin Ice (Maestro Version) - Yoko Ono
4. Nils Frahm - Says
5. Emerald Webb - Valley Of The Birds
Some shows use various songs to match the motif, which makes it a full show, but I just picked one or two.
OK, these are actually runway soundtracks :) all of them, since I moved to runway soundtracks instead of billboard hits, these have become my favorite ones to listen all the time and feel very powerful, they are from different shows, most of them from 2015 or 2016. The first two belong to the fantastic music of the Chanel Spring Summer 2016 Show (presented as an airport runway show with everything an airport pavillion has, all built inside the Grand Palais in Paris, as usual) which made it my favorite show of Chanel ever thanks to the music they used, because it has such an energy and power, and timeless elegance at the same time. I just recommend you to listen to them and you'll feel you're walking the most elegant airport in the world. I must say I wouldn't like these songs without the show. It's Chanel all together that makes it so epic and awesome. They both last around 10 minutes. But they are really cool.
The third song, from Yoko Ono, opened and closed the Fall 2015 Fendi Show, in Rome, with Kendall Jenner as the head model. In my opinion, she did it great. And this opening track is just celestial and opulent, and so dramatic you feel you're weightless. It's the first 30 seconds that make you levitate and walk over the clouds, not thin ice :)
Nils Frahm - Says was for a Givenchy Haute Couture in Paris this year, January if I'm not wrong. The song consists of sharp little sounds that repeat and repeat meanwhile it goes intense until a perfect climax that is so good I'm sure you heard of it. It lasts 8 minutes. Just remember, wait for the climax.
And the last one is from a Menswear Show, rare huh? Yes. It's Valentino Menswear Fall Winter 2015, in Paris, at the Salomon de Rothschild Hôtel. Just for the record, -the clothes were Exquisite-. But these song is like an electronic song from the birds, so calm, so light you can almost listen to it, you feel in an upper world, which happens to be the Valentino Garavani world.
I'll bring more of my runway favorite soundtracks soon...
